Deborah R. Margulies, NCC, is a Nationally Certified Counselor and has worked as a Professional School Counselor in both Baltimore County and Baltimore City Public Schools for over 18 years. She has worked at both the high school and middle school levels. Debbie has worked with Baltimore County’s Traumatic Loss Team, has been part of the planning committee for Baltimore County Public School’s yearly Safe School Conference, and has written School Counseling curriculum. She has been an adjunct professor in the Masters Program in School Counseling at Loyola University where she taught courses such as Marriage and Family Therapy and Cross Cultural Counseling. She has been a guest speaker for courses that include Theories of Counseling and Techniques of Counseling. A past Vice-President of Maryland School Counseling Association (MSCA) and Professional Development Chair of Baltimore County’s Association for Counseling and Development (BCACD), Debbie stays current in the counseling field. She has presented both locally and nationally. Workshops have included the Arts and Science of Group Counseling, the Use of Creative Activities in Counseling, Zen and the Art of Counseling Maintenance, Working with At-Risk Youth and Working with Difficult Families.
